I finished my Neovibe, and its working!

Only problems:

1. loud click or pop when switched from vibrato and chorus

2. when I play hard (loudly) in vibrato mode the sound clips or distorts

Is this normal? I had a VooDoo Labs vibe, and it didn't have the vibrato mode, so I don't know if this is normal.

Besides that everything else seems good.

Has anyone else here built the Neovibe?

fixed it...

One of the 1uF caps was shorted together. So, that fixed the pop when switching between chorus and vibrato, and the disorting (splatting).

Good troubleshooting. I was reading the earlier notes and thinking "ah... DC on the output, must be a bad, reversed, or shorted cap" and then I got to your last post.

Good work!

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Now, that the Neovibe is working, and sounding great, I want to go ahead with my plans and add on the LERA. I have drawn a pcb and have it ready, combining both your Single LFO Pot mod and the LERA. (Just waiting on the LED/LDRs to get here).

Where exactly would I connect the 2 circuits together?

Thanks again!
