This is not a can't-live-without project, but it will make some folks happy.  It is a FET-based dual loop selector.  Before you get too happy, it does NOT use momentary SPST switches, but it does use latched SPDT switches, which can often be found cheaply.  Perhaps just as importantly, the design is such that you could use a DPDT to provide loop swapping AND status indicator, just by wiring the two sets of contacts in reverse and parking them both on a single switch.

I flipped the PCB mask for PnP enthusiasts.  There is no parts list given but all component values are clearly shown.  It should fit in a 1590BB.
