Does it inheritely (sp-it's early) resist with no light or can that be reversed?

Paul Perry (Frostwave)

The light releases electrons & that lowers the resistance. So it HAS to be "more light = lower resistance"

I guess that sort of sucks.  Any other suggestions for converting light to resistance?  I guess I could build a VC-thing and use a solar cell :-D

Tim Escobedo

You could try using the CdS cell as a voltage divider, which is used to control a transistor as a VC resistor.

If you're driving it with a LED (which I doubt due to your mention of solar cells) you can invert the connection like in the sweep direction switch on the lovetone meatball.

I'm driving it with an LED, the solar cell thing was a joke.

I suppose inverting the connection would work, however I think I'll just accomadate to the way that CdS cells work.  Thanks for the tips everyone.
