808 switchtable brown mod??

has any one tryed to brown mod a ts9 or any tube screamer pedal with the brown mod and made it switchable on and off with a mini toggle? how possible is that

The brown mod consists of more than one part so putting it on a switch would be ......well.....really, really difficult.  You can however, switch the clipping diodes to make the best of different tones. My personal favorite are some 1N34a's with one 1N4001 in series on one side of the clipping diode pair and 2 1N4001's on the other. You could also switch in an LED or whatever sounds good to your ears~!!

You could also switch out caps but I wouldn't suggest it.
I have found that when you install a switch on a pedal you end up using one setting 99% of the time so take the time to figure out what sounds the best to you and solder the parts in permanently.
