I've spent the last 2 hours surfing for this with no luck.  There's a photo at http://www.wah-wah.co.uk/  but no instructions (probably because he sells them!!!
I'm pretty much a newbie, so I thank you in advance for any help you can send my way.

What is the question?  So you want a design for a filtered power supply?  Or what?

Pretty much.  I heard from Stuart about the basic idea, but I was hoping to find a schematic showing exactly what to do to install a DC input on a vox.

Taking a cue from Jack at AMZ, I'd consider a small choke as a power filter.  The radio shack one, is too big, I'm planning on trying to locate a smaller one for some bench testing.

But really the best bet is to use a good regulated ps and you shouldn't have any problems and not need any filtering.

Of course if you us a  9v battery, you won't have any problems either.
