I have everything connected and all that i get is major feedback, no notes and nothing when i turn the pot down.  So, does anyone know what this could mean?  Might i have my two diodes backwards???

HELP!?!:(

What circuit are you referring to? That would be a big help in letting us help you to troubleshoot it...  8)

Measure eac pin of the transistor from ground, post these readings.
Check out the debugging page, also there's reads for this at GEO [somewhere] tell ya when a transistor might werk and how to bias as such.
Audio probing and DMM 'beep' checking might turn something up.
Use your Dmm to confirm connections are made where they should be and only where they should be..

That link appears to be no mas.

I do remember seeing that schematic once or twice a while ago. It's another fuzz type circuit, right? It sounds like what you are describing is a bad case of oscillation. Double check every connection and check it again. There is probably a wiring mistake somewhere. Although, if the schematic is wrong to begin with, and you may have wired it exactly per the schematic... there are a lot of bad schematics on the net.

If you can not find any mistakes in the wiring, then we need to hopefully find someone who has built it and find out what their experience was with it. I seem to remember at least one post from someone having problems with that one...

Anyone else ever build this one?

I've been wanting to build this one myself.

I feel confident that if the guys at runoffgroove built it, then you can probably call it verified.   :D

runoffgroove is the best site for FX building on perf :)
I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.

I'm pretty sure that this is a good schematic, and i think that my problem is that I used a 2.2K reisistor instead of a 2.2 (My dad picked the wrong ones up)  So hopefully they will solve my problem

Oh yeah, that's one of those single transistor jobs. Kinda reminds me of the Easy Drive. Well, I hope you get it working.

petemoore

That would be enough to make a difference for sure.
I'm interested to see how this turns out...let me know...

Will do, keep you posted, have worked on it in a long time, been sick.  keep you posted
