Shielding again?

Alas :o ! I was able to find a source of cheap metal boxes, probably made of aluminum. They are actually coated/painted with black from inside out.

Do I have to shield the inside of it with aluminum tape because it is coated/painted already?

Thanks.

Oh yeah!

If it is a metal box, it is shielded enough, whether or not it is painted.

Just to add to what Paul said, if the paint isn't conductive (highly likely) you'll need to sand away a tiny bit for a ground connection. Either that or make sure the jacks make contact with some bare metal.
