I have trouble w my t screamer and think it has to do with the dc jack im using..I needs to know how to connect it..Or simply for future references...I buy the round ones  from smallbear but on occasion i go to Radio shack but the connections look different..I have gathered that the l shaped part goes to ground but what does the other 2 connections go to?There are 2 connections that are closer togather where as 1 connection is not. Its more on the outside. I have completed 6 proj from ggg and connected them using his layout but never really understood why these wires connect to it..--esp the battery snap black and red wires...then theres also the led that gets connected in all the mess as well...I wish i had a pic with names and arrows pionting to the various parts of the dc jack..I just wanna be certain im not connected things incorrectly..( as my battery feels warmer)  hmmm

Any help / questions / comment?

I get the DMM out and a plug for the jack, pen, paper...and draw up a few drafts of what the switch does with the plug in it. and the plug out of it, as well as whether anything connects to ground/enclosure...
Before I found this forum I got a wah going [both jacks got stomped in a reverse backstep motion...thanks,,,]...after years of attempts I finally checked the old jacks with the DMM and figured out that jacks on a wahwah like mine [[VOX 847] must be insulated from the enclosure...lol.
I figured a couple new jacks would fix it, boy did that raise self doubt about being able to repair electrical stuff...I kept saying I swear it should work, the wire to the tip is going right to the tip like before dohh...what elation i felt when finally learning that one the hard way !!!
verifying how switches work with the DMM made it easy for me to
remember that.
Some of these switches and jack/swjacls can be somewhat deceptive...
I guess the point I'm making is that looking for ways to apply the meter [as Phil used to say] might help you find something out...
WHen I got my DMM I had access to the EZ read function AND the manual that I could follow.
I don't see this mentioned much thought I'd throw it in here..
