Fixing volume drop on Small Stone (locating those resistors)

I'm trying to fix the volume drop in a friend's EH Small Stone (Green russian 1997 re-issue ) and I found a post by R.G. Keen saying I need to change resistors R11 and R42. However the resistors are so badly marked, I can't locate them. Can anyone help me out and point them out to me? I have a pic of the board, but I'm unable to post it here. I'll be glad to mail it though...

Cheers,

I did the mod on mine and I will try to explain the placement.  It has been a while since I did the mod and I replaced both R11 and R42 with 10K so I'm not sure right now which is which but If you need to know I can check later.

If you are looking at the componet side with the input and output jacks toward the top.  In the middle of the board there is a row of resistors (12 of them)  one of the resistors is the 6th resistor down from the top.
The other resistor is toward the left bottom side it is the one above the jumper wire that is directly above two transistors.

I hope that helps if not I will try to get a picture and lable it.

I have a picture on my computer if you send me your email address I can send you a pic.

...and I think  I do...
just follow the input, find the two transistors almost immediately that have a 4k7 between the emitters, and another 4k7 also [I din't mess with this one I think it goes from emitter to ground?]...
I changed the 4k7 to I think 10k between the emitters...
You can't go past unity or it starts self oscillating.
For a boost tack a boost on the output...I did!
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

JD Sleep's Guitar Gadget site has a heap of info on this.  Changing the resistors around the first stage does throw the transistor biasing off ie. you have to balance the evils.
