im wing a 3pdt switch for a multi face..very newbie to schematics..I found a lot of info about doing this in the forums Q/A sect. Anyway, what do i wire the volume pot to? lug 3 goes to the c out sect. (output?) i believe..what about the other 2 lugs? where do they go?

It can be connected like this:

Tie the top left and center lugs together
Pedal input on the middle left, output middle center.
Circuit input bottom left, circuit bottom center.
Solder one of the LED leads to the bottom right, and the appropriate (pos or neg) power to the middle right lug.

There are a few sites that explain this, and rather well, but nothing is quite as effective as practical experience.  If you have a DMM, use continuity check to learn how things are connected inside of the switch.

The LED and resistort goes to center of the three lugs left over on a 3PDT
One  other lug goes the Power Supply to light it when in switch is in the
'other mode'...the last lug stays open/

I noticed there a few did ways to wire this.. What im not finding in info about the volume pot. Lug 3  goes to the c out .1 on the runoffgroove layout. what about the other 2 lugs..according to the schematic--which im really bad at understanding- says 2 goes to out and 1 goes to ground..I thought out was also .1 ( same as where lug 3 goes to). So connect 3 and 2 togather to .1 and take lug 1 to a ground on the board? http://www.geocities.com/tpe123/folkurban/fuzz/fuzzyfaces.html

Generally speaking

With the pot upright, lugs facing you:

left lug goes to ground.
wiper (middle lug) goes to stomp switch
right lug is tied to the effect out

The effect is taken from the circuit to the pot through the right lug.  The volume is controlled by the amount of resistance between the wiper and the right lug.  Resistance decreases as you turn the pot clockwise, making the output volume higher.

Cool?  If you are still having trouble, someone will eventually come along who can explain this in a way that is understandable.
