I am trying to switch between different sounds with an op amp type of distortion pedal.  (like a tube screamer sort of set up).  I want to be able to switch different diodes, caps, and resitors in and out of the op amp feed back loop.

I was wondering if it is sufficient to just switch out one side of these componants (leaving the other side attached to the circut), or if I should use a double pole switch to get them right out of there.

I'm not sure if there would be any problem with tone sucking or anything if they don't go to ground.

Thanks for any help.

should be ok to use a switch and leave one side connected

Good, I kinda thought so.  Just needed to double check.

Yeah if only one side is connected, no current can pass through.
I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.
