Building an MXR 100 and looking for this switch. Why is this hard to find?

The Lorlin switches from Mouser are pretty nice. You may have to get a 3 pole and just not use one section.

On some of these you can decide how many throws you want by adjusting a doohicky on top.

EDIT- the link is just an example. You can decide between the make or breaks, PC or wires, maybe even round or D shaft.

Is this for one of those ebay boards? Best of luck!

Thanks for the reply.yes it is for one of the ebay boards......  I saw those on the mouser site.....i have little experience with rotarys and it confuses me a little. Is it better to get a 3 pol 4 pos  and not use a pole or a 2 pole 5 or 6 pos  and not use the extra positions? I am not sure if i woul dlike the swicth to have extra Pos that do nothing. Thanks

Some of the rotaries have a moveable stop so you can convert a DP6T to a DP4T. Check out C&K and E-Switch rotaries at Mouser. You could also come up with two additional modes for those two additional positons too. ;)

One reason why a 3-pole x 4-pos switch might be better is you can turn it 360° around without meeting any dead positions, but you have figured that out I guess.

I think for some applications there is a difference between make-before-break (open frame type often) and break-before-make (usually the ones in plastic housing). I don't know how much difference it would make in your case however.

If you have a Telecaster with a 4-way blade switch, rip it out and you have a 2-pole x 4-pos
