I don't know how many of you, or if any of you do use PSpice to create their circuits in, but I just got a copy, and I can't seem to find any libraries that have a good amount of op amps in them. If anyone can point me to a source, that'd be great.

I just use the 741 that is included with the student edition. If you want a specific opamp, Ti, national, and others have spice models at there sites.

If you just want an opamp for schematic display, you can change the name of any part in your schematic with a few mouse clicks.
hope this helps.

Most manufacturers offer SPICE models for their products, just look at their websites.

http://focus.ti.com/packaged_lits/ti_spice_models.zip for example...

I have never used SPICE, but I have access to Electronic Workbench at my university, and I *really* love the Bode Plotter for frequency response and phase shift analysis, really helps to tune a circuit.

i have the full 9.22 suite with all the libraries... which ones you need?  i can send them. :D

Specifically, I'd like to get some common dual op-amps, such as NE5532 or TL072, as well as maybe some comparators, LM339 or LM311.

Do you know if there's a representation for mono and stereo phone jacks to be had?

downweverything

yeah i got most pop opamps as far as jacks i know i have the capture libraries for those.  do you have capture or just the student of pspice.  ill search my pspice libs.

yano

ah, no need, i found a place where i can download the libraries for all parts that digikey carries. Excellent stuff:
http://www.orcad.com/downloads/form/default.asp?dl_name=cistarterdb
Only thing is you have to fill out a form, no biggie though.

downweverything

cool...yeah those come with the full spice too.  if you have capture the digikey database thing is awesome, place parts in schematic, test and then it can automatically make up an order sheet with all the digikey part numbers and stuff.  good times :D

I guess I got screwed out of my library files because I got PSpice Student...my university supplies it to all Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering majors.

Thans Yano!! I didn't know about the digikey librarys!

Does anybody have the implementation for the DigiKey libraries? I guess I need some .lib files from the 9.2 CD. If anyone has them, reply!

downweverything

yeah i have them which ones are they though im not sure.... do you want the pspice or capture ones

yano

i need the files for capture

downweverything

cool.. IM me on AIM, username "downweverything" and ill send them.
