Hello,
I'm trying to build a fuzz face using stripboard. Do i have to etch the surface off the copper on stripboard to make it conduct, or is that just on PCBs?
Thanks,
Oscar.

nevermind i just found out with my contact led thing. No etching is necessary on stripboard.

Paul Perry (Frostwave)

True, no etching is needed, but it usually helps to give it a scrape (I use a wire brush) to make the surface shiny, it solders a LOT easier then.
Stripboard is my proto tol of choice, but yu always have to check for shorts between adjacent strips. I check everything afterwrds with a multimeter continuity test.
