Build Report - "BIG DADDY"

Just put the finishing touches on the "BIG DADDY" from RunoffGrove.  Easy build and pretty straight forward.  Here is something interesting - tried different 386 chips - the Radio Shack - LM386-1N really made the effect crank. Alot of fuzz and plenty of gain to the point of feedback.  Then I tried a LM 386-3N that I just got from Small Bear -  the effect was very quite and not much gain, etc.  (Also I didn't have a 15K resistor as called for - used a 13K)

Good effect and nice sounding with the Radio Shack 386.

Someone was posting recently that the prefferred [he preferred] the 386-3 for some reason IIRc higher output, and recommended that I try one of those. I've only tried the RS chip in 386 builds...
