i built a ts808 clone... it was fine with no pops... i guess the pull down resistors were doing their job... but all of a sudden it started poping... loud ... and i don't know what's causing it... i checked cont. on the pulldowns and they're still connected... what next?

Is it possible you've got a problem with input/output caps? Check for DC voltages around the Input and output caps...maybe one of them is leaky, or has a cold joint.

There's a LOT of things that couls be causing this. Low-voltage caps with a DC wiring mistake, electrolytics wired wrong-way-round, lubricants in the switche bleeding into the switch contacts....
Try a good-grade DPDT hand switch with alligator clips (parralel the FS with this) to make sure the pop isn't coming from the footswitch. If it's not, the problem's very likely o be a leaky cap or a lack of DC blocking in general.

it was my output cap... i replaced it and it worked... i guess that shows me not to use scavanged parts...

Maybe that's what's happening to my pulsar...

Time for some surgery.
Cut it large, and smash it into place with a hammer.
