How do I wire a passive vol pedal.I know there is a resistor in there but how?.
I took a couple of mine apart years ago to use the pedal for something else and did not write down anything on how to put it back together.
Thanks

Three lugs on the pot.  Center is output jack, one outside lug is input jack and the other lug is to ground.  Couldn't be easier.

Thanks NS,mine had a resistor to ground (I think),do you know the value of that?.

A resistor to ground... You could have a 50k pot for "min volume" on the side and then a 100k pot for footcontrolled volume. You add the 50k pot as a series resistor to ground. :)
I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.

I think the resistor to ground might have been to change the sweep of the pot. The Ernie Ball has a switchable resistor for two different sweep curves.

Yeah, the newer EBs switch a resistor in across two of the pot lugs to fake an audio taper, IIRC.
Tonepad -- DIY FX and amp stuff
The Gobos -- Half the talent and twice the beer of those other bands.

THanks for the answers, got it working as before.
