thinkin about pcb's

i was lookin at a few circuits on the net. and a few of my own design and realized that i could make do making me an obsidian or an lpb1 or a few other designs..  by just buying some blank lpb1 boards from pcb123

i figured it out that i can get it down to about 2.3$ per board if i get a 100 of them.. possibly even cheaper.  anyway. i was lookin around at other sietes and they are between 8-10$..  so i was thinkin of getting some folks to go in together and see if we can find some basic desings we coudl get done up and  get a bulk discount.

so far i found.. that with a couple extra holes added to the board i can build either
1 lpb1
1mosfet booster
1 stage of obsidian.

If i can help in any way, just let me know, i like drawing pcb layouts, so that won't be a burden to me. The desing bit is a little out of my league right now, but i'm qualified to do slave-work

What about using two boards? How much would that expand what you could build?

You could probably add an LM386 based amp to that, right? :wink:

How about the mini-booster/srpp? Could you build any of the compressors on that board?

A couple others that I personally like the sound of (and have no idea if they would fit at all)

i was going to do a couple of runs with a hybrid lm386 tlo72 tyep design..  if i add the correct amougnt of extra pads i think i can get everything from a smash box to a little gem a grace3.0 bigdaddy orange squeezer  flatline compressor. ts9 rat i mean it won't be exactly perfect but rember to get the price like taht i have to do it in the 100 mark.. but hey i think it is possible.  i will dwell mor eon it i haven't slept today.

You just reinvented some items from the Fx Bus and Omniface layouts. I enjoy doing layouts that can be made into one of several things by selective population. It's and exercise in thinking.
