I have a background picture with different areas for 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, and 1280x1024 that I use for page checking.

I don't think constricting to 640x480 is useful any more.

I'm glad that your sig graphic works for others at 800x600, but it still doesn't work for me because I have two additional buttons on my views here. It also won't work well for anybody who doesn't have their browser maximised at 800x600.

That's good perspective. I agree totally. I WANT to see Colin's posts because I might learn something.
