and what does the parallel universe do? im thinking about building
both of them.

The sic box?  The only one with a panel mounted LDR is the frequency modded frequency analyzer, which is just that.  Lots of fun sounds with it-there's a description of it underneat the picture, right?

The parallel universe... it's my first ever design, basically either a very nice clean overbooststortion or a self oscillating, yet totally useable, fuzz.  I'm going to be selling it through North Star Effects sometime soon, I'm populating PCBs right now.

There aren't any schems or tutorials for what I did to the Frequency Analyzer, but there is a PU schem in the schematics section.
