Rock on! Thanks for the help. I've been hearing a bit of talk about the original Guv'nors and knew of the Perplexed, and I was thinking of building one or both up in the near future.

Any thoughts to their sounds compared to each other or to other pedals?

I've heard the sound clips of the Guv'nor on Tonefrenzy, but haven't heard any of the Perplexed. Are there any out there?

Just an aside, if I build the Perplexed clone, do I HAVE to use a Hammond DD-sized enclosure? I think that Blues Pearl gets the award for wasted space, followed closely by EH pedals. :wink:

uhh weell it sounds like a cranked up plexi to me,  i mean very flexible and dare i say tube like???

my clone was also in teh same box,, but i have managed to do one for a friend in a bB box if you do it just right. i mean look how small hte guvnor is and it only adds a single transistor  

so i think with some zvex type thinking you could have this in a b box in no time

EDITED.......... i also fixed an old pcb layout  its crude but it is the same as the one i took off of the original from my drawing

So.....the schem shows a 100k gain pot, the layout showing 25k.
Is the 25k a typo or correct?

ahh sorry for got to change that, all pots are 25k lin

I think you will have a problem on VR4 picking up DC. Look at the "darker" side.

hmm dont' quite see where the dc would hit it,,  could you help me out, the tone stack is the same as the marshal guvnor and i haven't had any problems with it,  but i am open to suggestions
