hi, i need a footswitch that you have to hold down.  What i mean is you step on it to activate the switch, and it deactivates when you lift your foot.
If anyone could tell me what they're called so i can find one, or better yet, show me where i can get one it would be really really appreciated. thanks a million!

thanks alot guys!

i'm rigging up a switch that routes my signal into an echo pedal while i hold down the switch, and then when i lift my foot, the tail of the delay still goes on from what i played, but i'm fee to move on to something else and change effects.

I think it's going to take more than a switch to do what you've planned. If you wire a dpdt momentary switch to bring the echo in when you step on it, it will also cut everything off when you step off, including the echo tails.

It would work if you are sending the wet signal to a seperate amp and use the switch to only connect/disconnect the input and dry output of the pedal. Or you could mix the wet signal back into your mono signal chain after the switch, preferably with an active mixer.

If one of the above, or something more clever, was part of your original plan I apologize for my presumptions.

Does anyone know where to find a SPST momentary switch for use in stompboxes ??

I've looked at Mouser but there are too many...
