Hi,

Jay Doyle created an interesting mildly distorted overdrive called a Touch of Sweetness.

I was just wondering if the circuit might bias easier and have more available gain by using Mosfet’s. The circuit looks like one can easily pop in some 2N7000 with no change to the circuit. Just a little bias adjustments.

Also

By putting caps from ground to the output of each of the bias trim pots should reduce any noise that may be transferred to the signal. Something like 10 â€" 22uF. Without these capacitors the coupling networks will not give the roll off values specified in the schematic.

I would be interested in comments on how this circuit sounds.

I’m really thinking I might give this circuit a try. Mosfet style as I’m currently out of FET’s but I got a bunch of Mosfet’s and all the other components.

Regards,
Will

PS: I think Jay Doyle’s “A Challenge..” posting on this forum was really great.
