OK not exactly a stomp box but has anyone comeup with a way to do something like the vibratone thing without having to lug that cabinet around?  Like a movable rotor in front of a regular amp or something?

Thanks

Check out the Motion Sound stuff. They make a rotating horn and bass rotor cabinet. Some people just use the horn and simulate the bass rotor with a FX box.

Thanx but I already tried that angle.
I found the horns didn't sound quite right to my ear. Well that and they looked to be a really cheap plastic.
I had the pro 3-T

Thankyou for the idea though :D

Try an ebay search for "Leslie Tremolo Unit" and look for just a single speaker with the rotor and motors.  I got mine for $50.

You might want to try putting a fan in front of your speaker.

There have been a few extended discussions here about this with some interesting info. Do a search for vibratone.

Will do. Thanks for the info

One time I tied a bungie cord around a small amp, tied it to the ceiling, and spun it around. Kinda fun but not exactly something you can gig with. Personally I like the idea of putting a styrofoam drum with a slit cut in it in front of a stationary speaker and spinning the drum.
