Multi-Face.
 Use lotsa socketsa
Especially useful for finding 'your FF.
Trimpot Q2's collector, My personal take is that Q1 does fine with 33k on it's collector, putting a trimpot there is easy though.
Try different transistors and bias Q2, then re-tune [if necessary the caps and Gain/vol settings also guitar volume settings... with each swap.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

Hi,

i build several FuzzCircuits too, searched every time for a typical Hendrix Sounding Fuzz - not to sharp, but Fuzz.

I found my holy grail into the RogerMayer Classic-Fuzz (added an input Impedance Pot, like the BIAS Pot in Fulltone '69).
That works great to overdrive an Amp, works really perfect with clean Amps and works together with a WahWah.
And it has more Output Power than usual FuzzFace Circuits i cuild like Stock FF.

Hi.  It isn't a Fuzzface, but it's a reliable result and can sound almost as good as a *good* FF, and better than the too-common *it's not sounding good but I don't know why* fuzzface.

It's the easyface.  Try a 100 ohm resistor on Q1 (any 2n3906) and a Ge tranny for Q2 (AC128 or AC188 with hFE of 120 to 300).

have fun
