Question about TS9 footswitch

Does the TS9 use the same footswitch as the one used in Boss pedals? I'm thinking they don't, since footswitch reliability problems seems to only follow the TS9, and also because Small Bear has a "Mountain Switch" for the TS9 and a "SMK switch" for Boss pedals.

So, can the unreliability of the TS9 footswitch be fixed by using a Boss footswitch in its place?
