Modding my TS9DX for *slightly* more gain?

I'm pretty happy with my TS9DX, I'm using it as my main overdrive, in the "hot" mode. Pretty ballsy and more punchy than my OD1. My only concern is the more bass you get scrolling up through the presets (normal-plus-hot-turbo), the less gain.

I like the basic timbre, if I could only have a little more gain on tap......any advice on what is the cap or resistor change for that?

Thanks in advance

Head over to GEOFEX and read "The Technology of the Tube Screamer".  There's a TON of useful information in there.  8)  The link is at the top of the page.

You could put series resistance inline with the drive pot. This will give you more gain in that normal position (but the more you add, the less drive you will get with the knob in the lowest setting). This is a one resistor addition in that setting. You need to figure out what the switch does in that position though so you can put the resistor in the right place.
