I find the task of finding pots difficult.
Farnell and RS components locally do not stock much cheap pots. Going to electronic stores gets me pots, but usually come in all shapes and sizes for different values. AND log pots are hard to find. I often end up with different pot sizes in a pedal, and that just feels *urgh* to me somehow.

And no, i'm not looking for those long shafted ones because i'm lazy to saw them. somehow, splined shafted knobs are cheaper, so i would prefer splined shafted knobs.

like as tiny as possible, anyone ?

YH,

How does $0.50 each sound?  They are the small, splined shaft type, so it looks like exactly what you are looking for.  Their shipping is quite reasonable, and Futurlec is a great place to get resistors and caps.

Hope this helps.

Hey, I'm paying $1.90 at Dick Smith for those pots.
For REALLY small pots (9mm square), have a look at Jaycar (www.jaycar.com.au).  Unfortunately, they're expensive and only come in a limited range of values.

Thanks guys !
The only thing that might bother me is the shipping from overseas (I'm in singapore). But given the fact that Farnell and RS components isn't really cheap at all, I've gone to look at other countries for them.

Altronics.com.au has not 16mm splined shafted pots in numerous values, i've just found.

Oh and i found that Farnell carries this range of trimmers that allows you to attach a shaft to it. Expensive though.

I just had a look at those pots.

wow, those 9mm pots from Jaycar looks really really sweet! But unfortunately, they are way expensive !

The selection from Futurlec looks pretty good, at 0.50usd, it turns out that they are cheaper than Farnell/RS components locally (w/o factoring the shipping, and the fact that farnell delivers nextday by courier locally....). But they are splined shaft, and I like that ! :) Their aluminium knobs looks affordable too :)

Thanks guys !
