Hi, my friend asked me to build an octave-up pedal for his band's bassist. However, he wants to be able to cut the sound of the original signal and only leave the octave up. Is there a DIY way to do this?  ??? Thanks in advance!

You could build a Pearl Octaver, which does one octave up, 1 octave down, and two octaves down, and (I think) allows you to use any one of these options along.
