Hey, I dont know if this has been done before, but I'm a Bassist looking to design a Bass pedal for a technology project. Could you guys help me out? Tell me what stuff I need, how to do it and stuff like that?

Also, I read some of the stuff in this forum and I have no idea about any of it. My school has PVC boards and soldering irons and the components(resistors, capasitors) all that jazz. I just need a basic run down of how to actually do it, and I could use this help soon, cause if I cant figure out how to make a bass pedal then I'm gonna have to change my project

Read all the FAQs you can find, the one on the front of Aron's page is real nice.  Then, when you find a circuit you like, (go for something simple, a booster or a Fuzz face, they'll work on a bass, i'm pretty sure) make it on PERF BOARD.  Perf is very easy to use for first builds, trust me.  Just make sure you have ALL the components.  Including a Stompswitch, which should be a DPDT at least.  Lemme know how this turns out, hope this was helpful.

Thanks for all that info, I'll check it out. I'm rubbish with terminology though, first off, I dunno if my school has perf board, but I'll check. Second, I'm assuming a stompswitch is just a switch you press with your foot to get it to work?

Yep, but it needs to be a 'latching' type, i.e. 'push-release' - on, 'push-release' - off.
