Tell me your opinion...
-To stop the LFO to obtain a detune effect.
-Install a chorus/vibrato switch.
-To add the "330pF pitch bending wierdness" like the WAVY GRAVY.
-Use an expression pedal instead of the Depth pot.

With the expression pedal, in vibrato mode(only detuned signal), the 330pf selected and the LFO not oscillating, will be obtained a pseudo-whammy effect? I know that it is only variation halftone(aprox...), but it would be funny!

if you stop the LFO all you will get is a tight to very tight slap back effect depending on what frequency the MN3007 is left clocking at.

To do detune stuff you'll need to go digital

stm

I figured out a way to get a detune effect using three MN3007 or similar devices.

Wow, thinking more on it you can have simultaneously both detune+ and detune- signals, similar to what I did with the pitch shifter of my previous Boss digital multieffect ME-8 i guess it was called.

puretube

there`s a circuit for that in hammer ampage

(but don`t come asking for declicking, and getting rid of zipper-noise issues  :P )

stm

Have you tried it?

You mean it makes a clicking sound when operating, perhaps at the LFO rate?

puretube

not that exact circuit per se, but a similar approach;
there`s a lot of bilateral audio switching involved - and often enough questions have arisen here about  single 4066s  just doing "simple" on/off switching duties, that popped too loud...

stm

Yeah, I know what you mean.  I have used both the CD4066 and the CD4016 for audio switching.

I like better the CD4016 (even though it has around 300 ohms instead of 60 ohms), because if you put a 100k resistor in series with the switch control pin and a large capacitor to ground like 1uF you can soften the switching glitch.

This trick doesn't work on the CD4066 'cause it has an input buffer on the control pin (i.e. it has gain).
