Sorry if this question is inappropriate, I have obtained the appropriate op amp to carry this out but can only find directions for a TS-9 which is different from the TS-5 I have could any one direct me to a guide to performing this mod.

Thanks

Robin

If you're talking about an opamp upgrade, simply replace the Dual Oa with you're choice of a Dual OA. I would install a socket.
Geo has dissected the TS, and text information about each section is provided.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

There should be only one dual op-amp chip on the board.  Shouldn't be too hard to find once you pop the hood.  Have faith and use the force.  :)

This should make it easy. Don't worry about the .22u tantalum tone cap mod. That's not an 808 mod. You can do that later if you want, plus other things.

Change R34 to 100 ohms
Change R35 to 10 kohms

It's that simple.  I've also changed the bass/distortion response in the clipping circuit and changed one of the signal diodes for a 1n4001.  Sounds really good now, although still a bit on the noisy side.

Thankyou very much this is a very cool forum.
