Hi all,
Ive just boxed up a wee overdrive i made, and it worked great on breadboard, but now when i turn on the effect, all i get is white noise and hiss. It bypasses fine, and the voltages on the perfboard are correct. Here's the link to the schematic:

Any ideas on what ive done wrong?

Thanx,

Well, I'm just a noob myself, but I would suggest double checking the transistor and any diodes and make sure they are in place correctly.  Make sure you are well grounded, too. Also check your caps that require pos/neg placement.  Beyond that, I guess you could check some of the troubleshooting hints in the FAQ.
I am noob...

If there was ever a case for the audio probe, this would be it.  I would suspect a wiring error, (for me) most likely at the switch.  What you've said so far suggests that you have output, but no input.

yeh, i originally thought the input wouldnt be connected, and whatdya know, i messed up on the gain control wiring big time. Ive also spotted a track on the board i need to cut, so ill do that as soon as i can...

I had a similar problem. i had everything wired up and tested it and it worked fine. once i put it into the box though all i got was the bypassed signal, and when the switch was on, a little bit of noise but nothing else.
