Anyone have one? I'm allergic to PCBs, and I HAVE to build this flanger. My friend just finished his and its amazing but his perf layout is crappy and huge.

Thanx

Check out the 4ms CBCB construction method (I believe RG also describes this method in one of his articles). In short, print out the PC pattern (reversed if it's been designed for PNP), glue it on some form of backing (CBCB stand for cardboard circuit board but I've had great success using formica), drill the holes and connect the parts using the component leads and extra wire the same way you would with perf, using the trace lines as your pattern.

That's how I built my Ultra Flanger and dozens of other effects with published layouts. I suppose you could just glue the pattern on a piece of perf and do the same thing to avoid drilling holes but perf is expensive and formica can be as cheap as free.

Any problem with ticking?  The previous post I've read all discourage anyone from building it here because of ticking sound.  Was that fixed or does your friend live with the ticking?

it does tick but its not really that bad and i can live with it
