I'm auditioning VCF's for guitar and bass.

I have tried the Stiener/Parker and the MS20, Tim's Q&D is next. I would like to breadboard as many as possible, anyone have any links? 8)

I'm not sure how well the PAiA unit works with guitar and bass but:

the SEM filter  (SynthExpanderModule) has been cloned all over the place.
not as fancy as the Paia VCF, (no VC Resonance)
but does have output limiting.
As with any "synth" module, *not* made for guitar, U will undoubtedly
need a preamp to boost the guitar lever to synth levels.
Most synths use 10Vpp for input/output.  I think, Paia is 5Vpp.
The Paia VCF is a very cost effective VCF.  The new 9730 VCF
is actually 2 VCFs in one.  U might want to try the older 4730 VCF.
I think all the old 47xx modules are at GEOFX or AMZ.
U can get all the VCF "flavors":  bandpass, lowpass, highpass,
notch.   U can put some zener clamps on the outputs to limit
the pp excursion to a lesserthan rail-2-rail resonance oscillation.
No sine wave osc with the PaiaVCF.  The SEM *does* sine osc.
So do the MOTM's the Oakleys & the ASM's(SEM clone).
I'm working on building 2 PaiaVCFs into my Paia SIAB tube rack.
there's some mp3 filter examples @ the paia website....
