Audio taper vs. reverse audio taper pots?

What is the difference between audio taper and reverse audio taper pots?  If I have an audio taper pot that I like the taper of, but it works backwards (increase is counter clockwise not clockwise) will a reverse audio pot correct this?  Or can I simply reverse the leads on my audio taper pot and achieve the same taper?
Thanks
Bob

If you take an audio pot and wire it backwards you will have the same taper as a reverse audio pot, but the resistance will increase instead of decrease as you turn it counterclockwise. The tone pot of a Rat is wired this way.

Let me clarify.  My understanding in the difference between linear taper and audio taper pots is something like this:  (the table will show % rotation vs. resistance and 'll use a 100K pot for this example):
100K Linear
10% - 10K ohms
20% - 20K ohms
30% - 30K ohms
40% - 40K ohms
50% - 50K ohms
60% - 60K ohms
70% - 70K ohms
80% - 80K ohms
90% - 90K ohms
100% - 100K ohms

100K Audio taper
10% - 195 ohms
20% - 391 ohms
30% - 781 ohms
40% - 1.56K ohms
50% - 3.125K ohms
60% - 6.25K ohms
70% - 12.5K ohms
80% 25K ohms
90% - 50K ohms
100% - 100K ohms

The numbers may not be accurate but I believe the concept is correct.  If I simply reverese the leads on a audio pot, while I will get the direction of rotation I want I believe I will get this taper:
100K audio taper wired backwards
10% - 50K okms
20% - 75K oms
30% - 87.5K okms
40% - 93.75K ohms
50% - 96.88K ohms
60% - 98.44K ohms
70% - 99.22K ohms
80% - 99.61K ohms
90% - 99.8K ohms
100% - 100K ohms

Will a reverse audio taper pot give me the direction of rotation I want with the same taper as my audio taper pot that works backwards (assuming they are the same value pot)?

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.
