I need to know the value of a 47k63 cap, but in uF. I believe that the 63 means 63 volts, but what about the 47k? It is 0.047uF or what?

The "K" is the tolerance, that's +/-10%

so, that'd be a 63 volt, 45pF +/-10% cap.

Value in pF? Looks too low. I have some caps here that used the k as a value indicator, not tolerance. I don't remember the values or how to read it right, but I believe that 47k means 0.047uF (47000pF).

222k = .022 uf,  47K = .0047 or 4n7

Marcos has it - the k is actually short for kpF, (meaning thousands of pico farads) the old way of marking caps.
Value is 47000pF (47nF, 0.047uF) at 63 volts.

Tolerance would be at the end of the value statement ie 47k63k I recall.

Thanks a lot. I was needing this to update the Lovetone Brown Source schematic. In a few minutes, it will be online.
