An old Dunlop GCB-95 wah was given to me w/o the pot. I installed a hot-potzll 100k and it seemed to be working fine until I switched it off. Once back on, it acts more like a volume pedal than a wah. I read on the dunlop site, this is caused by the inductor (or coil). What is an inductor and what does it look like? How can I make sure it is the inductor? If it is the inductor, where could I purchase one? Any info would be greatly appreciated, Thx

Ive had the same problm ..Its prob the inductor which if stock sucked anyway compared to the fasel ( red or yellow) or a few more expensive ones out there..Aron selld the yellow inductors here for a great price _ the cheapest i think-- and smallbearelec.com sells some there as well..

Before you buy an inductor: replace cbp. The 4.7u electro cap. The article clearly states a failed cpb causes the pedal to act like a volume pedal. A failing inductor has no wah, just treble change.

Thx for the info. I'll try the cbp first.

yeah. it sounds like the inductor but that cap might have a short. if not i would get a fulltone inductor over the dunlop fasel.
