Quick Question about 3pdt switches!!

On and diagram they show where the wires go to the switch but they dont show what side the switch is since it is a box it is even on all side so what is the correct way the switch should be pointing in order to correctly wire it. One side of the switch has a "Cliff" logo on it.

When you wire the switch, visualize it in the stomp box looking top to bottom, and line up the switch with the three rows and the tiny "holes" in the connections facing also top to bottom of box, not left to right
Does that make sense?

Yea i get that. My main question is what is the difference between top and bottom? is the cliff logo on top or on bottom or the side ??

Do you have a DMM? Basically, the middle row is the common and if it is conducting to the top row then hit the switch and it then should be conducting to the bottom row...ONLY. if not, rotate it and meter it again untill it does this.

0=not conducting (Open)
1=conducting (Closed)

How you've drawn it is fine, which "side`' doesnt matter, as long as you wire it top to bottom as is,  each "side" is equal anyway OK?

i think part of the confusion is which way round the switch should sit

ie, teh tags are flat contacts with a hole in them, so which way should they sit

and which three of the tags are a switch together (the middle ones will switch between either of the two outside tags)

Please take a good look at the pictures I have posted. While the switch itself is square, the lugs have an orientation. They are flat and you should be able to tell how to orient the switch based on the picture:
