1458 for my orange squeezer??

hi!!!
i just can't find the 4558 at the moment :?  :?  :?
i know the 1458 is a suitable substitute but ...what should i do with the orange squeezer i'm gonna build????
does it affect the sound in a negative way???any suggestion???
the same question about the tremulus lune and other projects


P.S. orange squeezer what version should i built ???

A dual opamp will substitute for a Dual Opamp pin for pin.
 1458...I never tried them, I think it's a good one.
 Of course since sockets are required...?
 I like the NE5532, 4558 'gaks' just a touch, on low note attacks in my OS.

Use a socket, and stick in the 1458 for now.  As noted, it will work as intended, but may not deliver the highest and most noisefree fidelity.  When you come into some better quality dual op-amps, just pop the 1458 out and stick a new one in.
