Hmm...that sounds sort of like Zvex's "crackle OK" knob on the SHO. I'm guessing it's part of the design.

Still...That's quite expensive for one of the cheapest, easiest DIY effects out there.

It's a rangemaster clone with a OC44 transistor in an unpainted box with a decal. Doesn't something have to be old to be in "mint" condition?
