Best thing I can advise is this: take a 1/4-inch thick piece of hardwood (get scraps at the local wood place, or use the thin stuff yu can find at Home Depot).

Make a hole with every bit you have & label each. WHen you have a part, see which hole it fits, and use that size bit.

If it does not fit any, time for a new size.

Good luck,

Switchcraft jacks are a 10mm hole, standard 3DPDT footswitch is a 12mm hole, my 16mm pots are an odd 9mm hole ( 8.5 so an 8 is too small!)
Best thing I ever bought was a "Varibit" drill bit, gives me 4,6,8,10,12 mm  alll from one bit !  worth the 20 bucks for sure.

I use:
- 6mm for plastic LED holders
- 7mm for small toggle switches
- 8mm for most pots, DC jacks and LED "cans"
- 10mm for some pots and most jacks
- 12mm for switches.
