o-scope software reccomendations . . .

greetings to all.

my wife and i were thinking about building a computer with our tax return.  but i wanted to know if it would be worth it buy an o-scope or if i should just use o-scope software for PC.

in addition to that, if i got o-scope software what kind of probes do i buy to run with the program.  (this is where i am really confused)
