add booster to solopro

using solopro i got an idea
why don't i add a booster to this unit?

i wanted to add booster replacing the 'red' relative
1M pot... but where is effect in and out?
it's like to do an unit with two led, one red with effect on
and one green with effect off (in this case i'd adj. volume!)
if i rename 3PDT pins as in the scheme (hope i'm clear):

  1M <--1-2-3--> 2.2k -> redLED
input <--4-5-6--> +9V
  1M <--7-8-9--> 2.2k -> green LED

where do i have to connect booster in (pin 1?)and booster out (pin 2?)
maybe it's very simple, or it's impossible... but i don't succeed! :oops:
and... it is right to use a BC640 as booster transistor?
