I wasn't expecting too much from this, but the way the circuit is designed sounded interesting and its an easy couple of hours !
I played with the i/o cap values a bit, to end up with a mid "hump" and not too much low end.
Its the first build where i've had horrible "hum" from pre-box, but that was all fine when it went in the enclosure and was properly grounded.
This worked first time..... no de-bugging !!! phew !
It sounds great, makes quite a nice "high gain" sound for rock/metal, which I was quite surprized about, perhaps due to using 1N4148's for diodes to ground ?
Anyway, it works well through a small practise amp and through a "gig level" cranked tube amp too...... wow ! that is some noise.
I will have to re-house it, as I stole the box from my little booster pedal and it does'nt fit very well  !!

Thanks again to all the guys at ROG for making this one sound so cool. :D

"EDIT"  I used an NE5534an op-amp, I think these kiddies sound great, same as the ones in my tube reamers.
Cheers,

Hey great looking enclosure!!!!! What did you use? I'm "box-finishing challenged". I like building them but I don't like painting the boxes - that looks really nice and no paint. Nice work.

Nice work.  Not having to debug is sure nice. Luckily for me the only debugging I've had to do so far is with offboard wiring.  :D

Thanks, its "stick on" , a bit like sticky backed plastic from a roll, i can't remember the name but there's an older post about it somewhere ?
It will go in a "Blue sparkle" painted box, with water decals as soon as I get some time !

Marty.
