Does the orientation of the mica cap across D4 & D5 matter?

In the text: "You'll notice that the last item on the table has no part number or original part value. This 47pF Silver Mica capacitor is soldered to the solder side of the circuit board across the clipping diodes (D4 & D5)." I can't tell where the cap goes or if it matters. The diodes appear to be in series but I don't know where to solder the cap. I've completed the other changes and the pedal does sound great. I'd like to finish with the diode cap.

Thanks,
Rick

Rick, I think this would be correct, to solder the mica "diagonal" from the tip of D4 to the opposite tip of D5, otherwise it would be in "series" with them, rather than parallel, if it was soldered across the beginning or the end of their pad connections.
Does that make any sense at all I ask !!

That does make sense. If "Across" means parallel, it's perfect. I'll wait a bit and if nothing further, I'll do it. Thanks MM,
