Forgive me if my letters get mixed up in this post.  I've been studying schematics and my eyes are starting to cross.  :D  The one I spent lots of time on is the Marshall 2203/2204 Preamp.  It's amazing how you can understand the flow of things when you know what the symbols mean.

Why that preamp?  Well, I'm a Marshall freak and being that I saw ROG make a pretty cool sim of the Super Lead with the Thunderchief, I am now curious about doing an amp sim myself, but of the 2203/2204.  There's still a few other builds I want to do first just to get a better hang of things and such and then I'll tackle this.  I can see this being a fun experimental project.

I just want to give a big thanks to everyone who has helped me on here.  I feel I've learned a lot and by reading the GEO stuff and the FAQ here, it's that much more fun.

Now, to get my eyes back where they belong so I can drive safely.  :D

Ok, well, I have the schematic together (including tonestack) and am now ready get the parts together and try this sucker out on breadboard.  Unfortunately I probably won't get to it until after Christmas (hoping Santa brings me a breadboard).

While studying the 1959 Super Lead and the 2203 schematics, I noticed a scary similarity to the two amps.  Both are practically identical in terms of the preamp and power amp except for a few differences in values here and there.  With that info, I studied the Thunderchief schematic closer and used that as a starting block (thank you Brian for letting me and your great help).

I'll post an update on this once I get it breadboarded and tested.

:D I'm lovin' this :D
