well i changed my wahs switch to a 3PDT for true bypass and an LED but wat happens is that now the sound got lowered,,,, i left the buffer in place so now the signal goes from the input jack to the switch and then to bypass or the circuit wich is BUFFER + WAH.... but teh sound is really low and now when i rock it down it takes more than usual to make the sound change,, like u have to rock it to the middle to get the sound i used to get with the pedal on like a 25% and now i dont get as much range its not as trebly..... somthing else is that i wanted to use a boost on the input now i had this onboard preamp on my guitar but i took it out and wanted to use it on my wah but it just makes a bad ass sound that i defnetly dont like, i tried the boost with out the wah and worked but when i put on the wah it doesnt, please help me.......

I'm at work right now, but when I get home tomorrow, I'll check to see where I got the directions for adding true bypass to a wah pedal. The site actually tells what color wires in a Vox or Dunlop to cut, etc. It doesn't have the LED addition for the 3PDT switch, but it should help you check yourself. Just by what you're saying, something is wired screwy that you just added. Jimbob is great at this stuff, so you may want to PM him.

Yes, sounds like a miswire or some problem with the "buffer".

Google the true bypass mods:
