Hello, I am planning on building the original crybaby wah wah, but I'm having some problems with it.
1. I don't know where to get an adjustable resistor to control the pedal. It should be adjusted by pushing it, like a normal button switch.
2. What is an inductor, and why is it needed? En most of all, where can I get it?

If anyone can tell me where to get these things, please let me know by e-mail. If you would happen to know any shops in Europe where to order these, tell me please sinds I'm from Belgium.

Hi, I think a good place to start would be to check out http://geofex.com/  . In the section "Technology of" you will find a great article about wah pedals.

As far as inductors go there are many options. http://smallbearelec.com/ is an excellent source or you can get 470mH inductors from places like http://mouser.com/ as well which from what I understand will have different tonal characteristics compared to the ones specifically sold for wah pedals.

I'm not sure by what you mean by "It should be adjusted by pushing it, like a normal button switch. " If you are talking about the potentiometer then you have many choices there as well. In the wah pedal I am making I will be using a slide pot.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, if you're talking about the main pot, there is a guy selling Hotpotz II on Ebay for about $10.50. If you're talking about building a CryBaby from scratch, pedal and all, then you have some work ahead of you. Steve Daniels at Small Bear sells a bunch of stuff for Wahs, along with the rack and pinion gears to drive the pot with. I think we'll all have to know a little bit more about what you have in mind. Jimbob should be able help you through any circuitry, because he's been involved heavily with wah pedal mods lately and knows his way around. He is a frequent poster to the forum, so i may as well volunteer him, ha

Don't forget that Aron sells the Yellow Fasel reissue inductor as well. Also, Anitique Electronics sells wah parts also. They have red and yellow Fasel's, the rack and gears, Fulltone pot, 470k JH pot, and all at decent prices. Type "wah" in their search engine.

Besides GEO, another great wah modding site.
