I'm wondering if anyone has built this John Hollis circuit, and has a number for a transformer for it that you can buy state side. I have looked at a few electronic places including Mouser to get one that meets the criteria, and none come close. On the Maplin electronics page, it shows it as being part # LT44. It has a 1K CT primary, and a 20K secondary, for 30V peak to peak. The primary is center tapped, but since it's not used, that wouldn't really be a requirement. This circuit looks like it would really be a screamer, and the octave up would have to be wicked!
